Topwise Communications Private Limited (erstwhile Topwise Comunications Private Limited) [hereinafter refereed to as “Topwise”] takes initiative to follow all the applicable rules and regulations as mentioned in the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 and as amended by E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2018.

The Central Pollution Control Board has issued EPR Authorisation having authorisation number – B- 29016(370)/(EPR)/18/WM. Topwise Communications Private Limited is known by its brand name “COMIO”.

We understand that there is a need to encourage recycling of all useful and valuable material from e-waste so as to conserve the ever depleting natural resources. Recycling of end-of-life discarded products is vital if we have to save resources and minimize landfill.

As we all know that most of e-wastes contain valuable materials such as aluminium, copper, gold, palladium and silver, it also contains harmful substances like cadmium, lead and mercury. In the absence of proper awareness, disposing of e-wastes in landfill can result in toxic emissions to the air, water and soil and pose a serious health and environmental hazards.

Topwise understands that its responsibility doesn't end at selling the our products in the market. We, as a responsible Producer/Trader, have adopted eco-friendly innovations and practices and are working towards safe disposal of electronic wastes. Topwise has adopted multiple technologies and techniques into its business processes for efficient use of resources and to protect environment and preservation its resources for coming generations and society at large. This thought is supported by our management policy, as well as the legislation passed by the Parliament and regulated by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (called E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 as amended by E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2018). Topwise Communications Private Limited has taken initiatives of shared responsibility and cooperation from our customers in reducing the environmental impact of its products. Topwise will comply with all the applicable laws related to e-waste management Rules 2016 and as amended by E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2018 and will follow all the policies as mentioned in EPR Plan.

We understand our responsibility and ,in this regards, we have tied-up with one of the leading and authorised e-waste recycler namely Greenscape Eco Management Private Limited India’s largest E- waste recycling company for facilitating our customers to enable them to dispose off e-waste products after its end-of-life. This helps us in protecting the environment from any hazardous consequences, which would otherwise be caused by the inappropriate waste management of e-wastes. Several awareness program have been organised by authorised recyclers and Topwise for spreading awareness in the society and among the consumers.

Procedure for handling E-wastes:

Only authorized recyclers are authorised to handle Electronic e-wastes generated after end of life. To make consumers aware about handling of e- wastes. Consumer must follow Do’s and Don’ts as mentioned below:

Do’s & Don’ts


  1.  Always look for information on the website of authorised recyclers with your product for end-of-life equipment handling.

  2.  Ensure that only Authorized Recyclers/Dismantler handle your electronic ( i.e. Mobile and its  parts and accessories )  products

  3.  Always call at our authorised recycler toll-free No’s to Dispose products that have reached end-of life

  4.  Always drop your used electronic products, batteries or any accessories when they reach the end of their life at your nearest Authorized E-Waste Collection Points.

  5. Always disconnect the battery from product, and ensure any glass surface is protected against breakage.


  1. Do not dismantle your electronic Products on your own

  2. Do not throw electronics in bins having “Do not Dispose” sign.

  3. Do not give e-waste to informal and unorganized sectors like Local Scrap     Dealer/ Rag Pickers.

  4. Do not dispose your product in garbage bins along with municipal waste that ultimately reaches landfills.

As defined under E- waste (Management) Rules, 2016 and E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2018 average life cycle of Smart phone is 5 years.
